Two people pulled over for a traffic stop in Manitowoc were arrested after allegedly being caught with some drug paraphernalia.
A 40-year-old woman was pulled over on 25th and Marshall Streets just after 5 pm Friday (March 1st) because she didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
Because she was visibly shaking, the officer asked why, to which the woman said it was because she was just pulled over.
The vehicle did not belong to the woman, and the owner consented to police to search it.
Police said they found a Gabapentin pill plus some tin foil with burnt residue and a vape cartridge that had THC in it.
She was charged with possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a prescription, and felony bail jumping.
On Saturday (March 2nd), a man was pulled over because a light made his license plate unreadable.
He was also very nervous and didn’t give police consent to search the vehicle when asked.
A police K9 unit was able to search around the car and positively alerted the vehicle for the presence of drugs.
When police searched the car, they found a white pill, a black case containing a stun gun, and a small plastic bag that appeared to have a white substance.
The man became very defensive when police said they would search him but did end up finding a black digital scale and some foil that fell out of his pants.
After saying he was under arrest, the man admitted to having drugs in his socks, which police found after taking off his shoes.
He is charged with possession of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, an electric weapon, a nonscheduled drug, and felony bail jumping.
