One of the finalists for the 77th Annual Alice in Dairyland comes from Manitowoc County.
Kiel’s Lauren Siemers is one of three top candidates from northeast Wisconsin who could be the spokesperson for Wisconsin’s agricultural industry through the DATCP.
Siemers will graduate in May from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Marketing.
She was raised on her family’s dairy farm, Siemers Holsteins, in northeast Wisconsin.
Siemers has actively participated in Wisconsin’s agricultural community, staying engaged in 4-H, FFA, the Wisconsin Holstein Association (WHA), and Holstein Association USA.
Through these associations, she had the unique opportunity to serve as the 2019 WHA Princess, compete in speaking contests, and travel extensively across the country and to Scotland to evaluate dairy cattle.
In 2023, Siemers was honored as a National Distinguished Junior Member Finalist by the Holstein Association USA.
She will participate in a rigorous interview process that will allow them to showcase her communications and public relations skills.
The other five finalists for the honor are Cierra Essock, Halei Heinzel, Katrina Hoesly, Michaela King, and Kiley Pagel.
The 77th Alice in Dairyland will be crowned on Saturday, May 4th.
