Congressman Glenn Grothman either didn’t like what President Biden said during yesterday’s State of the Union or believes it needs to be done differently.
The Glenbeulah Republican says while Biden discussed the border, he “did not introduce any initiatives to reduce the number of people coming across the border.”
Grothman claims that the amount of people illegally crossing the US-Mexico border has increased heavily from 20,000 a few years ago to 350,000.
Grothman also didn’t like how Biden talked about inflation, saying of talking about how it’s caused by increased spending, “he rattled off eight or nine new spending ramps, which will only drive us further into debt, inflation, and higher interest rates. This is why housing is quickly becoming beyond the reach of the middle class.”
He also said Biden was increasing partisanship by saying Republicans believe in book burning while also endorsing the Protecting Right to Organize or PRO Act, which expands labor protections related to employees’ rights to unionize.
He finished his statement by saying the president didn’t address the flaws in the American Welfare system, which, to him, is significantly undermining the American family and eroding the country’s work ethic.
