The L.B. Clark Middle School addition that started last year has made some big strides.
An update from the Two Rivers Public School District community newsletter says construction crews have made great progress on the two additions, including the walls and roof of the new gymnasium being put in place.
Construction crews have also started sealing off the window and door openings and heating the new gym.
The new main entrance to the building is also taking shape with the steel and metal roofing being put in place.
There’s also been a lot of progress on the 5th grand and fine arts addition as well which includes block walls going up.
The area will house 5th-grade classrooms, an art room, and band and choir rooms.
During spring break, crews will begin to work on the inside of the existing school building to prepare for demolition and renovations to take place over the summer.
During spring break, some prep work will be done in some classrooms around the library. Ground was broken on the project in October last year.
A $38.7 million referendum passed to get the project started.
