Seehafer News has learned that Todd Holschbach, who served on The Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors for eight years, died on March 13th following a long battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.
Holschbach represented the County’s First District from 2012 to 2020. He was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and continued to serve as The Director of Wisconsin Government Relations until he retired in 2023.
Holschbach also served on The Manitowoc Public Library Board and The City of Manitowoc Tree Commission.
His father Vern, who preceded him in death in 2014, served on the Manitowoc County Board from 1968 to 1980.
Vern was elected to the State Assembly in 1980, serving 13 years, and authored Wisconsin’s “Lemon Law”, one of the strongest consumer protection laws in the country.
Todd’s survivors include his wife, Andrea, and two sons, Kirill and Misha.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Silver Creek Fieldhouse in Manitowoc, with a remembrance Service to be held at 2 p.m.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made payable to The Nature Conservancy-Wisconsin Chapter, 633 West Main Street, Madison, Wisconsin, 53703.
They can also be made payable to Todd’s family, which will be used to purchase benches at some of his favorite nature spots.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer has ordered the flags at all County buildings to be lowered to “half-staff” on March 23rd.
