New charges have been filed against Two Rivers resident Jesse Vang in the case of a missing 3-year-old boy. WBAY TV in Green Bay reports that prosecutors have filed an amended complaint against the 39-year-old Vang charging him with chronic neglect of a child as a party to the crime. Elijah Vue is the little boy who was left in Vang’s care for disciplinary purposes by his mother, Katrina Baur of Wisconsin Dells.
The new version of the complaint describes what most would see as harsh treatment of the child by Vang, who said he wanted the boy to fear and respect him. Allegations include cold showers and forcing the boy to stand for hours in a praying position, while not changing his soiled diapers in a timely fashion. There is also a report of photograph of Vue with a blindfold over his eyes and bruising on his body.
Vang, who has a previous conviction for child abuse, is due back in court tomorrow.
