Lorraine A. Oswald, age 84, of Manitowoc entered eternal life on Tuesday March 19, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Lorraine was born in Manitowoc on May 20, 1939, daughter of the late Joseph and Marcella (Walters) Tadych. Lorraine graduated with the class of 1957 from Lincoln High School. On February 4, 1961, Lorraine married Roger H. Oswald at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lorraine was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and later St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Lorraine worked at Mirro and Team Electronics. She was an avid sports fan, often watching Packers, Brewers, Badgers and her own kids. She was kindhearted, loving and always put others before herself.
Lorraine is survived by her husband: Roger; her children: Sue (Dan) Corbeil, Karen (Jon) Wieczorek, Steve ( Beth) Oswald; grandchildren: Heather (Robert) Gilmore, Marissa Corbeil, Everett and Morgan Wieczorek, Jonah (Tiffany) Hinds, Micah Hinds; great-grandchildren: Owen and Alec Gilmore, Peyton Corbeil; she is further survived by sisters: Marion Lindholm, Margaret Shaw, Nancy (Gary) Orth, Germaine Miles, Ann Murray; her brothers: James (Judie) Tadych, Joseph Tadych; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David (Annette) Oswald, Dawn Oswald, Rosie (David) Jensen, many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Henry and Agnes Oswald; sisters: Janet Haske and Shirley Reinke; brothers: Jack and Thomas Tadych; brothers-in-law: Albert Reinke, Wallace Haske, Thomas Murray, Daniel Oswald, Robert Lindholm, Malcolm Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Jason Blahnik will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
