The Manitowoc Public Library has announced the opening of the 5th Annual Art as Poetry/Poetry as Art Exhibit on April 6th.
This unique exhibit features a “call and response” format where forty artists and poets have collaborated to produce forty pairs of artworks and poems.
Each participant has drawn inspiration from another’s work to create a new piece that resonates with them.
The library invites the public to a special reception to be held in the Balkanski Room on Friday, April 12th, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the creators, enjoy refreshments, and experience a live poetry reading beginning at 4:30 p.m.
This event, free of charge, is brought by the Lakeshore Artist Guild, an organization dedicated to fostering art within the community by supporting local artists and facilitating partnerships that celebrate artistic expression.
