The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection is currently accepting nominations to fill two different positions on the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board.
Eligible producers who grow and sell soybeans in District 2, encompassing Buffalo, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix, and Trempealeau counties and District 6 covering Jefferson, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha counties may participate in the nomination process.
Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting the DATCP Market Orders staff at DATCPMarketOrders@wisconsin.gov.
Completed forms must be signed, notarized, and postmarked by May 31st, 2024, and must include signatures of five eligible soybean growers other than the nominee.
The completed forms should be sent to the DATCP, Market Order Program, and their P.O. Box.
The election for the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board will take place from July 10th through August 15th, 2024.
Successful candidates will serve three-year terms beginning September 1st, 2024.
This opportunity enables soybean producers to play a pivotal role in influencing the strategic direction of the soybean industry in Wisconsin.
It allows for active participation in the governance and advancement of soybean marketing within the state.
