Lakeshore Technical College President Dr. Paul Carlsen has been elected to a national board.
Carlsen will join the American Association of Community Colleges board of directors, a national advocacy organization representing more than 1,000 two-year community colleges across the country.
Lakeshore Board Chair John Wyatt tells Seehafer News, “Dr. Carlsen being elected by his peers across the country to serve on the AACC Board is not just a testament to his leadership, but also to the caliber of our college and the impact we have on our students and our communities.”
Carlsen hopes to represent the generation of millennials that are currently entering the AACC and believes that his generation will be able to maintain the momentum of the American Association of Community Colleges’ mission to build a nation of learners.
Carlsen begins his three-year term on July 1st.
