Thomas R. Holdorf, age 78, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Tom was born on July 17, 1945 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Alvin and Mildred Holdorf Holdorf. Tom attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1963. In 1965 he entered the United States Army and was stationed in California and Alaska. After his honorable discharge Tom returned to Manitowoc and became employed with Busch Agricultural Resources for 39 years retiring in 2008. On July 11, 1970 he married Susan A. Sloggett at First German Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
She preceded him in death on May 20, 2019. Tom was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan following the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Wisconsin College Badger sports teams.
He is survived by one son, Terry (Deedy) Holdorf, Whitelaw, one daughter, Melissa (Ryan) Christensen, Manitowoc, five grandchildren, Jon, Jacob, and Joel Christensen and Martin and Madison Holdorf, one brother, Russell (Marge) Holdorf, Fond du Lac, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mildred Holdorf and his wife, Susan.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, 1033 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Jacob Hoff. Relatives and friends may call at First German Ev. Lutheran Church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with entombment of his cremated remains to be placed at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date.
