The Manitowoc County Historical Society is set to host a Civil War Muster event on Saturday, May 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at their museum.
Attendees can immerse themselves in the experience by joining Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery living history units as they prepare for the train.
Activities will include practicing firing, military maneuvers, and opportunities for camaraderie.
Visitors will be able to witness the reenactors in action. There will also be a Wood-fired Oven Pretzels with Homemade Mustard Workshop held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the same day.
This workshop is for individuals aged 12 and above, with children under 16 required to register with an adult.
Additionally, May 11th marks Liberty Card Free Day in partnership with the Manitowoc-Calumet Library System, offering free admission from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for those with a library card.
The Manitowoc Public Library will also present a story time at Shadyside School at 11:00 a.m.
General admission prices are $14 for adults, $13 for senior citizens, and $10 for youth aged 4-17, with free entry for children under 4.
Members will be able to enjoy free admission.
