Organized searches for 3-year-old Elijah Vue of Two Rivers, who’s been missing for two months, will take place Thursday and Saturday.
Volunteers may show up at The Mikadow Theatre. Located at 1118 Washington Street in Manitowoc, at either 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Elijah was reported missing from the residence of 39-year-old Jesse Vang of Two Rivers on the morning of Tuesday, February 20th.
Vang told the authorities that he had laid down for a nap and when he woke up, Elijah was gone.
An amber alert was posted for the child, which remains in effect today.
Vang, along with his mother, 31-year-old Katrina Baur of Wisconsin Dells, have each been charged with chronic neglect of a child.
Vang pled not guilty to the charge in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Tuesday and remains in custody in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
He’s due back in court on June 28th. Meanwhile, Baur remains in the County Jail and is next scheduled to appear in court on April 26th at 8:30 a.m.
The Mikadow Theatre has also announced that they will hold a “civilian search for Elijah” fundraiser on Friday, April 19th.
The event. beginning at 6 p.m., will feature the Bombastic Bubble Show and Rondini Magic Show.
Admission is free, but a minimum $5 donation is requested. The proceeds will go towards providing food, drinks, and supplies for search volunteers.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.
