The Kiel Fire Department has been selected as a recipient of The Auto Club Group Foundation grant program.
Public Information Officer Kyle Preissner tells Seehafer News that the equipment arrived and was put into service on April 8th.
Funds were used to purchase 35 reflective traffic vests for responders and one set of collapsable cones to be placed on the city’s fire truck apparatus.
Preissner says that this grant-funded equipment will be critical in serving and supporting the department’s demand for meeting the needs of a growing community.
He adds, “This will also be critical to ensure their staff can work in a safe environment while operating on the state and local highways which traverse on our local jurisdiction.”
The mission of The Auto Club group is to work on behalf of the members and communities they serve to create lasting solutions, inspire learning, and provide research and funding in the areas of traffic safety, driver education, and financial literacy.
