While winning is always the goal, youth and high school sports are also important for the creation of the leaders of tomorrow.
Two Rivers head Baseball coach Spencer Feest has been coaching for the last 12 years, spending the last five as the Raiders’ head coach.
With the team hard at work, Coach Feest has made sure that the values of the team are a driving force when it comes to where the program will end up.
“This team is only going to go as far as they take it, so if they put in the hard work, if they’re good teammates, we are going to see that that is going to take it to a whole new level,” he said.“Really emphasizing that the program is in their hands and how they act is going to take it in the direction it needs to go”.
Along with those values has come a strong sense of senior leadership.
“We have a group of seniors who do not care about personal stats it’s about a team focus,” Coach Feest explained. “That team focus is something that is very hard to get but we are finally there”.
The Raiders will try to get on the winning track tomorrow when they travel to Roncalli.
