Starting the week before Memorial Day on Monday, May 20th, and continuing through the Friday before Labor Day on September 6th, the Two Rivers City Hall will have adjusted summer hours.
From Monday to Thursday, the new hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Fridays, they will be 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This change extends customer service hours at the beginning and end of the day from Monday to Thursday while allowing the employees to have Friday afternoons off.
It’s important to note that this change only affects the open hours at the Two Rivers City Hall and no other city facilities, such as the Lester Public Library and the J.E. Hamilton Community House.
Similar hour adjustments are also being adopted by many other municipalities, including the City of Manitowoc, the City of De Pere, and the Village of Allouez, not only for the summer but throughout the year.
Additionally, many private businesses have also implemented comparable business hours.
Following this summer’s trial run, the city will assess whether this modified schedule will continue in the future.
