The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation continues its commitment to supporting the individuals who ensure the safety of communities throughout the state.
As part of their Rewarding Responders Grant Program, the foundation is offering $75,000 to assist police, fire, and emergency medical services agencies in enhancing public safety.
Eligible emergency response agencies have until June 15th to apply for the grant, which aims to help northeast and north-central Wisconsin public safety agencies acquire critical lifesaving equipment or training.
In the past year, this program has aided 42 agencies in obtaining vital safety tools such as automated external defibrillators, multi-gas detectors, and emergency scene safety lights.
Since its inception in 2014, the WPS Foundation has contributed over $500,000 to 202 agencies, supporting efforts to fortify public safety.
Among the recipients, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department received a grant in 2023 to procure life preserver rings for installation along waterways in the Green Bay area.
