The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a fatal two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening.
Lt. Joesph Tenor says that a motorcycle driven by 18-year-old Cohen Barajas of New Holstein was traveling westbound at the intersection of County Highway HH and Meyer Road in The Town of New Holstein when he hit a boat being towed by a pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Connor Wehmeyer of Glenbeulah.
Barajas died at the scene, while Wehmeyer and a second unidentified occupant in the pickup were not hurt.
An initial investigation indicates speed is determined to be a factor, and the accident remains under investigation.
