Toy Gun, Real Threat

Making threats with a CO-2-powered handgun has a 22-year-old Manitowoc man in custody at the county jail. Diego Rodriguez Garcia appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court today (May 29^th) and had his bail set at $750. Bail was not posted and he remains in custody with his next court appearance set for June 3^rd at 1:30 pm. Garcia is charged with making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct with a domestic violence enhancer. Police report he pointed the gun at a local resident who was in a car, and threatened to shoot them. Garcia said the gun was a toy, but the threat was deemed to be very real. As a condition of bail, Garcia was ordered to have no contact with the victim or the witness.
