Beginning on June 20th, the John Micheal Kohler Arts Center’s Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series will kick off a new season.
The free performances aim to bring the community together through 10 family-friendly concerts featuring 20 bands.
Every week, up to two thousand music enthusiasts gather to indulge in performances by musicians from all over the country.
Complementing the on-stage entertainment will also be art-making activities, food trucks, and a beverage tent.
The concerts will be held at Sheboygan’s City Green, located at 710 New York Avenue, except the series finale event, which will take place at the Art Preserve on Lower Falls Road.
The season opener on Thursday, June 20th, features the Afro-jazz, funk, and soul band OLATUJA, fronted by the duo of Micheal and Alecia Olatuja.
The following weeks will showcase a lineup of more artists, including the Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass performer Matthew Whitaker, the traditional sounds of Lone Pinon, and the fusion jazz quintet Sunny Jain and the Wild Wild East, among others.
