The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships baseball team fell to Menasha by the score of 2 to 1 in the WIAA Division One Sectional final in Oshkosh Tuesday afternoon.
The game was scoreless until Menasha scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Ships did scratch out a run in the bottom of the sixth but fell to The Bluejays by a run.
Trenton Ducat was The Ships’ starting and losing pitcher. The Ships ended their season at 23 and 5.
Menasha will advance to The WIAA State Tournament and play a Division One State Quarterfinal on Monday in Grand Chute.
Meanwhile, Kiel lost to Xavier of Appleton by the score of 3 to 2 in a WIAA Division Two Sectional Semifinal Tuesday at American Legion Field in Appleton.
The Raiders finished their season with a record of 22 and 5.
