A project at the Manitowoc County Airport is almost complete.
If you’re driving on Menasha Avenue, you might have seen a large yellow X on one of the runways.
Airport Manager Bryan Barbeau tells Seehafer News that the primary runway was shut down as lights at the edge of the runway were being changed to LED’s.
Barbeau says depending on the weather, the project should be done by this Thursday (June 6th).
Small planes were still able to land on a secondary runway while the primary runway had the lights switched.
However, Barbeau says larger charter planes couldn’t land.
He finishes saying he hopes the project will get done in a couple of days before the first EAA AirVenture event that takes place on Saturday, June 8th.
