A sophomore at Valders High School has been named the EWC Softball Player of the Year.
Pitcher Megan Hochkammer was also one of five players to unanimously be named as a First Team All-Conference player this year.
She was joined in the First Team by her catcher, Makayla Dallas, while three other members of the Co-EWC Champion Vikings were named to the Second Team.
Chilton was well represented on the First Team squad, with Maddie Tasch, Gwendolyn Sell, Sophia Pingel, and Eliana Bates all making the cut.
Roncalli’s Jenna Wall was also named to the top squad, along with New Holstien’s Natalie Ziebell, Haylie Kohlman, and Jacey Sesing, and Brillion’s Amaya Brooks.
Two Rivers had three players make the second team, and one received honorable mention status, while Roncalli had one player in each category.
Kiel had three players honored, one with second-team status and two honorable mentions, while Brillion had six players receive honorable mentions.
Two Chilton players were named to the second team and as honorable mentions, while New Holstein had one second-team team player and four honorable mentions.
