Fond du Lac Fire Rescue ordered a shelter-in-place order following a hazardous chemical leak.
According to the Fire Rescue’s Facebook page, the hazardous chemical release occurred at Milk Specialties yesterday evening (June 18) at roughly 8:00.
The severity of the situation caused Fire Rescue of Fond du Lac to put the order in place for the area of Tompkins to Johnson and Hickory to Brooke.
HazMat crews were needed to get the toxic emissions under control.
The shelter-in-place order lasted until 11:00 p.m.
