The Harmony Café in downtown Manitowoc is a big supporter of small businesses and locally sourced items that they need to run their business.
Recently, on the Seehafer News podcast Cultivating Community with Grow it Forward, Amber Daugs, the owner of Harmony Café, talked about where they get some of their products, starting with their coffee.
“So, we get our coffee from an awesome company called Boom Coffee, they’re located in Princeton, Wisconsin and most of their coffee is fair traded and organic. The ones that generally aren’t organic are the ones that have perhaps a flavor profile to them such as Rice Krispie which is actually one of their flavors or the Highlander Grogg for example.” She explained. “If you’re looking for something bold, they have bold varieties available. They have just a medium roast, or if you like something lighter, they have that as well.”
Along with a wide drink and food menu, the Harmony Café also has different fun items to purchase in the café,
“One of our staff members, her name is Mindy, she has a company called, Because I Said So, and you can find her on Facebook, or she has an Etsy store.” Daugs Said. “So, if you’re looking for special gift items like charcuterie boards or personalized mugs, she has those available, or a cute t-shirt, or makes handmade earrings, and different things like that as well. You can find those all at our café as well.”
To dine at the Harmony Café or purchase anything from their business, visit them at 921 South 8th Street in downtown Manitowoc.
Another opportunity to try something from the Harmony Café will be every Wednesday by the Wharf,
“The Night Market, which is coming up in June, we will have a boba tea vendor at the Night Market. I’m really excited for that.” Daugs said.
