The man standing trial for the Fox River Boating crash has been convicted.
WBAY reports that yesterday (June 19) jurors found 53-year-old Jason Lindemann, guilty on 14 of the 15 charges he was facing.
Lindemann was found guilty on two felony counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, 11 misdemeanor counts of failing to provide aid after a boating accident, and one misdemeanor count of negligent operation of a boat for the crash that took place on July 9, 2022.
The lone charge he was not found guilty of was one additional count of failing to provide aid after a boating accident.
Lindemann struck the “On the Loos” paddleboat traveling at high speeds without his lights on just before 10:00 p.m. that night.
One witness’ account also claimed Lindemann was drinking alcohol on his boat before the crash.
His sentencing hearing is set for August 22.
