One teen is dead, another is wounded, and a third is in custody after a shooting last night at the end of Milwaukee’s Juneteenth celebration.
It happened just before 9 p.m. last night in Washington Park.
Deputies say a 17-year-old suspect opened fire with an automatic weapon, killing a 17-year-old and wounding a 15-year-old.
A Milwaukee County detective then fired at the suspect, but the sheriff’s office says the suspect got away.
That suspect, however, was arrested a short time later.
Investigators say the accused shooter was arrested just last month for being a felon in possession of a handgun.
He was out of jail on a $750 bond.
