Authorities are investigating an incident in which a pregnant 18-year-old was shot by Milwaukee Police following a chase that ended on I-43.
Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman stated that officers opened fire on an SUV after a pursuit connected to a pair of armed carjackings.
During the chase, the SUV crashed, and the driver allegedly reversed, attempting to hit an officer.
Police then fired shots, hitting an 18-year-old woman, who was pregnant.
Her unborn baby did not survive.
Additionally, a 17-year-old was shot, and three other teenagers in the SUV were injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
