It’s time again for the unofficial kick-off to summer in Two Rivers.
“You know that we’re headed into summer in Two Rivers with the arrival of Sundae Thursday.”
Those are the words of Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley, who is reminding area residents that Sundae Thursday is scheduled for this coming Thursday (June 27th).
Every year the city celebrates the invention of the sundae created by Edward Berner back in 1881, with many events and activities planned for the day.
“Things kick off at 5:30 p.m. at Central Park West with some special entertainment for the kids, 25 cent sundaes, all you can eat,” Buckley explained. “There will be an ice cream eating contest for the kids, and then things will be capped off with a concert by the Two Rivers City Band at 7:30 p.m.”
Then, following up right after Sundae Thursday, there is another iconic event planned for the Cool City.
“You roll right from Sundae Thursday into the Cool City Car Cruise and show on Friday, June 28th, and Saturday, June 29th, all in downtown Two Rivers,” Buckley noted.
