A sophomore at Kohler High School has been named a finalist in a statewide art contest.
Alyssa Schubert is one of 11 finalists across nine different grades in the WEA Member Benefits Foundation Student Art Contest.
Alyssa’s piece can be seen above, and the other other finalists’ work can be found on the WEA Benefits website.
Up to ten finalists will win a $500 prize each, and one finalist will be awarded the $1,500 “Best in Class” award named in memory of Loeymae Lange, who taught art at Cooper Elementary School in Burlington, Wisconsin, for 30 years.
