The Bayshore Trail project in Manitowoc is moving forward.
The common council voted unanimously earlier this week to approve an agreement between the city and Bay Point Developers, who will build the new trail.
It will be located between Bayshore Drive and Reed Ave and will include a new pedestrian bridge and trail to allow access to the Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo.
The project also includes the installation of a kayak launch so people can come to the Lincoln Park Zoo and park at the Reed Avenue entrance to allow for kayaking or biking.
The city got a $400,000 grant for the project.
