The search is ongoing for Robert Hanson, a 35-year-old man from Eau Claire, who was last seen in the Eau Claire River.
The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office reports that Hanson disappeared Saturday afternoon while fishing.
Witnesses say he attempted to walk across the river but was swept away by the water.
Rescue efforts have been hampered by recent rains and a swift current.
