Gary Wayne Moore, age 73, of Manitowoc, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Gary was born October 21, 1950, in Riverside, California, to the late Loring and Retha (Woodworth) Moore. He attended schools in Wisconsin and graduated from Fort Atkinson Senior High in 1968. Gary enlisted in the United States Air Force and served proudly from 1969-1971 in England and Libya. Following his honorable discharge, Gary attended Lakeshore Technical Institute and the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. Gary spent the remainder of his working career as a Human Resources Manager at various companies. He married the late Mary Bydalek and together they had two children, Rachel and Renee. He later married the former Mary Ann Hodas and together had one son, Tyler. During Gary’s time at UW-GB, his love of acting was born. He was a true performer and loved acting locally with the Masquers and Heart-A-Rama. He also spent his time volunteering on the boards of multiple community organizations. Gary was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer Fan, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by two daughters: Rachel (Keith) Graff, Manitowoc, Renee Kubsch and Joel Kubsch, Manitowoc; one son: Tyler (Emily) Moore; three grandchildren: Connor Kubsch, Camden Moore, and Genevieve Moore; two brothers: Charles Moore and Robert (Nancy) Thomas; two sisters: Nancy Pike and Bettyann (Michael) Appleton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Loring and Retha Moore; the mother of his children: Mary Bydalek; two sisters: Retha Thomas and Janice Carmichael; and his beloved dogs: Shelby and Mylo.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a Life Celebration Social will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc. Military Honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731 at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials in Gary’s name.
