The Door County Sheriff’s Office has just gotten their own therapy dog.
An announcement from the sheriff’s office says Finn is a Multigen Australian Labradoodle who’s currently in training with the Door County Therapy Dog Team so he can be later certified as a therapy dog.
Once Finn is trained, the sheriff’s office says he will bring smiles, comfort, and support to sheriff’s deputies, outside public safety organizations, and the community.
The Door County Sheriff’s Department continues to say they partnered with Blueberry Cottage Labradoodles, which is in Western Wisconsin.
They work with law enforcement agencies to place therapy dogs with law enforcement for the purpose of serving the community in several different capacities.
Therapy dogs provide security, companionship, and kindness which can enable people to feel more comfortable interacting with law enforcement.
