Eau Claire’s Narcan vending machine has seen significant use over the past year, with nearly 900 boxes of Narcan dispensed.
The City-County Health Department credits this with saving lives. Installed last year, the vending machine has also distributed 517 fentanyl test kits.
Sarah Dillivan-Pospisil of the health department notes a decrease in reported overdoses this year, though she acknowledges that many cases likely go unreported.
