A Manitowoc restaurant is looking to give back to a couple involved in a crash in Shawano County.
Joe Schuh and Greg Czekala from the Broken Plate want to do their part to help Jason and Tina Prigge, who were on their way back from Michigan on their motorcycles when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.
According to Schuh, they’re giving back because the Prigge’s helped them first,
“They’ve helped the whole restaurant industry by bringing more people to Manitowoc,” he explained. “So when we heard Jason and Tina got hurt, we wanted to do something about it. So Greg and I talked, and we decided to give 20% of our diner sales to the Prigge’s for the rest of the month starting today.”
Czekala expanded on what the Prigges have done for not only Broken Plate but for Manitowoc as a whole,
“The love they show for the community and just bringing the awareness as to how great Manitowoc is, and all the push with their Facebook, and Coolest Coast’…It really shows how amazing this community is and how it can come together,” he said.
Jason was set to undergo surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay yesterday (July 8th), while Tina is still in the ICU with severe injuries.
Grow it Forward CEO Amber Daugs reported that she was in stable but critical condition.
