The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is collaborating with the Defense Department on developing a new type of paint designed to be more resistant to rust.
The university announced last week that it is working with an Oak Creek, Wisconsin company on this project.
Professor Diedra Gerlach is leading the university’s team, with some students also contributing to the research.
While there is funding involved, the specific amount allocated to the university has not been disclosed.
