The search continues for the man who disappeared in the Bay of Green Bay.
Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban gave an update on the case on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, where he revealed that autopsies have been conducted on the two children who were sailing with their father, Billy J. Salnik.
Their names have been revealed to be 5-year-old Charlotte M Salnik and 3-year-old Joshua F. Salnik.
They were found near the capsized boat the three were sailing on just south of Chambers Island.
Sheriff Skarban explained that the “Door County Sheriff’s Office will continue conducting drone searches and will start with K9-assisted marine searches tomorrow. All search operations will continue with no plans to suspend until further notice.”
The case is still an open investigation, and no details have been released regarding what led to the vessel capsizing.
