The mother of Elijah Vue is due in court for a plea hearing today.
31-year-old Katrina Baur will be back in Judge Robert Dewane’s courtroom at 4:00 p.m. today (July 18th) for the hearing.
She had pleaded not guilty in May, so the expectation is that she will change her plea to guilty or no contest.
Baur is facing several charges unrelated to Elijah’s disappearance but related to alleged actions before he went missing in Two Rivers.
Baur allegedly dropped off Elijah to her boyfriend, 39-year-old Jesse Vang, where he was trying to “make a man” out of the 3-year-old.
Baur could face prison time or probation, depending on her sentence.
She’s been charged with chronic child neglect and two counts of resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
She’s also charged with a misdemeanor count of neglecting a child.
Vang will be back in court in September for a status conference.
