Steven A. Clarksen, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Froedtert Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc.
Steve was born on June 29, 1955 in Two Rivers to Arvin and Leila (LaPante) Clarksen. He was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. Over the years, Steve worked at A&P Shopping Center, Burger Boat, Hamilton’s, Mirro Company, Ariens, Kohler Company, and was currently at Parker-Hannifin Corporation. Steve was a member of Ducks Unlimited and West Shore Sportsman Club. He was an avid Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, and Minnesota Wild Hockey fan. Steve was well known for his baking skills and frequently hand delivered them to people just to brighten their day. Steve was a collector of many many many things – especially parking meters, Packer memorabilia, trains, RC cars, Olights, and most importantly, Friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and his dogs.
Steve is survived by his two daughters, whom he was incredibly proud of: Kristin (partner Paul Nelson) Clarksen, MN, and Shannon (partner Erik Stroemer) Duerschmidt, MN; his furbabies: Layla and Libby; two grandchildren: Kash Duerschmidt, MN and Cruz Duerschmidt, MN; former wife and the mother of his children: Tamela (Karbowski) Clarksen, New Richmond; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Deanna (Bob) Gottinger, Two Rivers, Cindy (Eric) Wilda, Two Rivers, and Lori Clarksen, Two Rivers; and three brothers and sisters-in-law: Thomas (Wendy) Clarksen, Two Rivers, James (Theresa Wilhelm) Clarksen, Manitowoc, and Michael (Lanna) Clarksen, Sheboygan. He is further survived by two brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Sally Henrickson; two nephews: Cory Gottinger and Mark Wilda; one niece: Jennifer Amador; and one sister-in-law: Robyn Karbowski.
A memorial service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 12:00 pm, at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center (Peace United Church of Christ), 3613 Waldo Blvd, with Deacon Al Boeldt officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
