Seven people are in custody, and a large amount of drugs were apprehended following a long term investigation in Brown County.
WBAY TV reports that the six month long investigation in to the “large-scale drug trafficking organization” was a collaborative effort between the Brown County Drug Task Force, the FBI, the DEA, and several other agencies around the state.
The big break in the case came when investigators learned the seven people involved would use a home in Chicago as their stash house.
A search of that house uncovered twelve kilos (roughly 26.4 pounds) of fentanyl, four kilos (roughly 8.8 pounds) of cocaine, 748 grams (roughly 1.6 pounds) of meth, 460 grams (just over a pound) of heroin, 16 guns and some marijuana.
Charges have been filed against Cheri Austin, Felton Currie, Ebony Grandberry, James Grandberry, Michael Oliver, Kyla Sanache, and Jessica Wright, and even more arrests are anticipated.
