The Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council is meeting in Manitowoc this week.
The meeting takes place on Thursday (July 26th) from 6 pm to 7:30.
Public comment takes place at 7:20.
The council was established by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to bring members of the local community, including Manitowoc, Two Rivers, and Sheboygan, to provide advice and help guide sanctuary management.
The public is invited to attend the meeting, which takes place at the Manitowoc Public Library, but if the weather allows, the meeting could be moved to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
The agenda includes updates by NOAA Scholar and Field Worker Allyson Ropp and Kevin Cullen, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, on their new sanctuary exhibit.
NOAA staff will provide a sanctuary update as well.
