Some pilots attending the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh decided to make a stop in Manitowoc on their way.
Manitowoc County Airport Manager Bryan Barbeau explained that members of the T-34 Association once again stopped at the airport for the 18th year.
According to the association, the group “invades” the Manitowoc area as they practice their formation before flying in mass to Wittman Airport in Oshkosh.
The practice happened last week on Thursday and wrapped on Sunday.
The T-34 association could also participate in one of the Warbirds demonstrations at the event.
Barbeau also explained that there were several other planes headed to EAA this week that stopped in Manitowoc.
Last year, 677,000 people attended the annual airplane spectacle.
