Mental Health America (MHA) Lakeshore has called upon the community to support the Resilient Classroom Project.
This urgent campaign is set in hopes of raising $10,000 in 10 days. An anonymous donor agreed to double the impact by matching up to $10,000 to generate a potential total of $20,000.
If the fundraising goal is reached, the program will benefit 100 teachers and 2,500 students in the local Sheboygan County community.
Mental Health Awareness Executive Director Julie Preder stated, “We’re rallying behind the Resilient Classroom Project, an empowering initiative that equips educators with essential tools to foster resilience in our young learners.”
The Resilient Classroom Project was initiated in 2023 and is led by MHA Lakeshore Education Specialist Anna Grunwald, who spent 27 years as an educator in our local schools.
Grunwald explained, “By supporting resilience training, you’re giving them the tools to bounce forward, learn from setbacks and thrive.”
Interested community members and businesses can support this appeal for the project by donating online, sharing the campaign with others, and following progress on social media.
