The Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) is honoring an eastern Wisconsin state senator for his work in the Wisconsin Legislature.
Green Bay Republican State Senator Eric Wimberger was given the WCA Outstanding Legislator Award for his work on behalf of county government during the 2023-24 Legislative Session.
WCA CEO and President Mark D. O’Connell says Wimberger “is a strong leader who has worked alongside our team to advance legislation and commonsense public policy initiatives that keep in mind the fiscal impact on the taxpayers.”
The “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts.
Wimberger did not comment on the award in the press release sent by the Wisconsin Counties Association.
