A routine traffic stop in Marinette County led to an arrest and seizure of narcotics.
On July 26, a Marinette County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the City of Marinette.
After speaking to the driver, the deputy developed probable cause to search the car for drugs.
Upon searching the car, 167 grams of cocaine and 8.4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms were found and seized by authorities.
This arrest came just one day after a separate drug bust in the county that involved methamphetamine and THC items.
The name of the suspect is being withheld as they await official charges from the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Marinette Police Department during the incident.
