A referendum from the Kiel School District could combine the high school and middle school into one campus.
The school board last night during a special meeting approved putting a $67 million obligation bond up for a referendum vote in the upcoming November election.
The plan would include not only improvements to all the schools in the district but could also put the middle and high school together.
Equipment that could be replaced includes a boiler in the high school because it’s as old as the building.
Some school board members agreed that while they’re not excited about the costs, it makes sense for the voters to say what happens next.
