The Manitowoc Sunrise Roterty is honing two of its members with an award.
Edgar “Ed” Hansen and Katherine “Kathy” Pohlmann recently received the Paul Harris Fellow award, which is given to those who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, that reach a designated level of giving each year to further The Rotary Foundation’s global outreach.
Hansen has been a Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary member for 10 years. He’s a 32-year retired U.S. Army veteran and was last assigned for a mission in Baghdad between 2009-10.
Hansen says he joined because “it gave me an opportunity to continue serving others.”
Pohlmann has been a Rotary member since 2008 and is a former president of the club. She says her commitment to the Paul Harris Society is because she strongly believes in the work it does for the survival of the world’s people.
