A man charged with manufacturing or delivering fentanyl in Brown County had his first day in court.
46-year-old Felton Currie was due for his initial appearance last week, shortly after he and six others were arrested in a major drug bust, but FOX11 reports that he refused to come out of his jail cell without an attorney.
His bail was set at $1 million as he faces 28 charges, more than any of the seven arrested.
Most of the charges are related to the manufacturing or delivery of fentanyl, cocaine, and amphetamines, but he is also facing two counts of Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Currie is due for a preliminary hearing on August 16th.
The others arrested in the bust were Kyla Sanache, Cheri Austin, James Grandberry, Michael Oliver, Jessica Wright, and Ebony Austin.
A stash house used by the crew was found to contain 26 pounds of fentanyl, nine pounds of cocaine, 1.6 pounds of meth, one pound of heroin, sixteen guns, and some marijuana.
