An impressive youth girl’s fastpitch softball tournament is occurring in Manitowoc this weekend.
Known as the “War on the Shore”, 64 teams from Wisconsin and Michigan are competing in the tourney with games slated for the Manitowoc Youth Sports Complex, in addition to diamonds 2 and 3 at Citizen Park and at Roncalli High School.
Games began this morning (August 2nd) at 8:00, with the same start times Saturday and Sunday.
We were informed that as many as 30 out-of-town teams will be staying at our local hotels during the tournament.
